Buddies in Regional Cooperation

Many initiatives can only happen when municipalities in the region cooperate. Not one, but two trails connections were created, connecting Stony Plain and Spruce Grove. The Darwin Park Rotary Trail runs along Boundary Road and the second trail runs west to east along the south side of hwy 16a.

Parkland County contributed $4 million dollars towards the community arena in Heavy Metal Place and Spruce Grove contributed $400,000 towards the new pickleball centre being built in Stony Plain.

And, the growth of Spruce Grove in particular grabbed the attention of Costco and yes, there is a Costco being built in the region :)
