Engaging our Youth

The Youth Advisory Committee is now in its third year as this past council created the committee affectionately known as YAC. We continue to engage with our youth and find meaningful ways for them to participate in decision making in the city. The Re-Imagined Central Park will be an opportunity for more youth to find a sense of place in our city with the new skate park, pump track and skills track. The log cabin continues to be used for youth programming and soon, the new Kickstand Centre (for youth) will open in the log cabin that used to house the Japanese School. Services for youth will be provided at the centre and will be accessible to all youth in the community.
